Lesson or Fitting? Here's the Difference
We get this question most weeks. There's no universal right order, but there's a useful way to think about it — and we'll tell you honestly if a fitting isn't going to move the needle yet.
A Fitting Can't Fix a Swing Fault
A club fitting optimizes equipment around the swing you already have — loft, shaft, length, and head matched to your actual launch conditions. It won't straighten a swing path that puts a different face angle on the ball every time, and it won't fix a strike pattern that moves around the face swing to swing. Those are coaching problems.
If your strike location is consistent but the distance or shape isn't what you want, that's exactly what a fitting solves. If it's still moving around, we'd rather tell you that up front than sell you a session that won't hold up once your swing changes anyway.
