A Repair Bench That Turned Into a Fitting Bay
Carry Gap Lab opened in 2016 as a small regripping and loft-and-lie counter tucked into an office park off Weston Parkway. The shift toward full fitting happened almost by accident: golfers kept dropping off clubs for adjustment, and a quick launch monitor check kept turning up the same pattern — two clubs flying nearly identical distances, or a gap between two others wide enough to lose a stroke every time it came up.
Once that pattern showed up often enough, fixing individual clubs stopped feeling like the whole job. We started measuring entire bags on purpose, and Carry Gap Lab became a studio built around that measurement rather than around any single club category.

The studio sits in a quiet office park a short drive from Prestonwood, MacGregor Downs, and Lochmere, with easy access from both Cary and the Research Triangle Park corridor. Most clients are golfers who play regularly at one of the Triangle-area clubs and want their bag checked the way they'd check any other piece of gear that gets used every week.
