FAQ

Questions Before You Book

The things clients ask most often before and after a fitting session, answered plainly.

What is a "carry ladder," exactly?

It's the sequence of carry distances your clubs produce from driver down to your shortest wedge. A clean ladder has consistent, non-overlapping steps between each club; a broken one has either gaps no full-swing club covers, or two clubs that duplicate the same distance.

Do I need the full ladder session, or can I book one club?

Single-club sessions are available and common. The full-set carry ladder fitting is worth it if you suspect a problem beyond one club, or if it's simply been years since your whole bag was checked together.

How long does a session take?

Single-club fittings run 45–60 minutes. The full-set carry ladder fitting runs about two hours. A complete bag rebuild, covering every club in depth, typically takes 2.5–3 hours.

Do I have to buy anything after a fitting?

No. There's never an obligation to purchase. You'll receive a full written report either way, and if you do decide to order, your fitting fee is credited in full toward the build.

What should I bring?

Bring whatever clubs are relevant to your session — for a full ladder fitting, that means the whole bag. Also bring the shoes you normally play in and a rough sense of your typical scores if you know them.

Will a full ladder fitting mean replacing all fourteen clubs?

Almost never. Most sessions end with one or two targeted changes — whichever clubs are actually breaking the ladder. We don't recommend rebuilding clubs that are already gapping cleanly.

How is this different from a normal fitting?

A normal single-club fitting optimizes that club in isolation. A carry ladder fitting checks the same club against every other club in your bag, so the recommendation accounts for what's already working and what isn't.

Do you fit left-handed golfers?

Yes. Our demo wall includes left-handed heads across every major category, and the launch monitor setup works identically for right- and left-handed swings.

How long until I get my new clubs?

Most builds finish in-house within a week of ordering, since components are stocked on-site and built by our own team rather than routed to an outside factory.

What areas do you serve?

The studio is located in Cary, North Carolina, and we regularly serve golfers from across the Triangle, including Morrisville, Apex, Holly Springs, Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
